Do You Want To Build A Snowmaaan?

This has been one doozy of a winter (the girls got RSV and we survived a near 3 week quarantine!), but Girlfriend hasn't minded one bit! She got pink snow boots for Christmas and breaks them out every chance she gets. A while back we got quite a bit of snow and decided to have a snow day in the backyard!

Anxiously waiting for Dad to get his gloves on.

They made a good team.

Love this handsome guy!

Somehow the snowman took on the face of an alien for a while...

Oh my WORD I love this beautiful girl to pieces!

Attaching the hanger stick arms

Perfecting the alien face

She was too enamored with the snowman to even look at me.

She just had so much love for that guy!

When she realized we didn't use an actual carrot for the nose.

This little sweetie tested out her cute snowsuit with us!

Sure love this sweet family of mine!...and we love having our very own backyard ;)

Princess Em

Most people think being a princess is all fun and games...

But being a princess is much, much more.

A princess must be attentive to the tiniest of details.

She might get to lay back and relax here and there...

But things can get serious pretty quickly.

A princess must be well versed in the fine arts.

Like singing and dancing.

She might spend some time in a tower looking out at the world,

Or she might contemplate how to obtain world peace (it's a princess thing).

At the end of the day, being a princess is some seriously hard work.

We sure love our little princess!

Tiny Dancer

I've got a ton of things to catch up on here on the blog but today was one of the cutest days of Emma's life thus far, and these pictures need to be shared. Girlfriend started her first dance class today and HOLY COW it was almost unbearable how cute she was. The class is adorable, and I'll definitely take some videos in the future to put on here. But for now, I'll just let these first day of dance class pictures do the talking.

But really though. Cutest. Thing. Ever.

A Day in Santa Cruz

I have a few Christmas posts I'm finishing putting together, but I'm so in love with these photos I just couldn't wait to get them up. Two of our very dear San Jose friends recently returned from missions and we made our way out there for a wonderful reunion. We spent a day in Santa Cruz, and it was so fun visiting one of the beaches I used to spend a lot of time at back in the day. And holy cow did Emma have the greatest day. I was desperate to get some solid pictures of her with such gorgeous scenery, but she was having such a fabulous time that I didn't get a single one of her looking at me. Most were running pictures because she was absolutely enamored with chasing the seagulls. It was pretty flipping adorable. She is just so full of life and energy and I so love watching her vibrance.

Seeing as this was Claire's first beach trip, I had high hopes for pictures of both the girls together. Alas, it was pretty windy and cold if you weren't moving around and she was really fussy until I got her to sleep in her carseat with a blanket blocking the wind. So....all the pictures are of our sweet Em. This really was the greatest day and we just loved being able to see our San Jose family!....which I also didn't get a picture of. Emma seems to always steal the show ;)

I was laughing so hard trying to get pictures of Emma. When she saw me chasing after her, Em would laugh hysterically and run faster. This girl!

It was obviously a good day because she conked out pretty quickly on the way home. The lips on this girl get me every time!

Sisters

I had grand plans of taking some newborn pictures of Claire right after she was born and then my body said, "Haha yeah right!" I finally got around to taking some about a month and a half into her life and although she isn't quite the brand new baby I had hoped to capture, I'm pretty happy with what we got. Of course, I made Em jump in for a few, which she was SO excited about. You better believe I bribed her with extra TV time and treats (which only happens multiple times a day on a rare occasion).

Her poor, poor acne eyebrows.

But really, those cheeks!

I'm absolutely in love with this profile of hers.

Emma getting in the zone. This is obviously her favorite thing to do.

I just can't even...

The sister pictures started out pretty rough, but eventually the crying stopped after a quick milk/candy break. I'm clearly not above bribery.

And then Emma decided to do a few poses of her own. This girl is such a crack up.

I know I should try and narrow down these pictures to a select adorable few, but how can I WHEN I HAVE THE CUTEST GIRLS IN THE WORLD? I know, I know, I'm totally one of those annoying moms who gush/brag about her kids and post way too many photos that are all almost exactly the same buuuuut...the only people who read this blog are either family or people who come to see pictures of these ladies. So really, I should be saying "You're welcome." You're welcome, world.
