FHE Shenanigans & St. Patty's Celebrations

We Keslers are pretty fun. Just how fun, you might ask? Let me tell you. For FHE this week, we decided to play a game of words with friends. We love playing words with friends via facebook (especially when class/work gets a little boring...), but finishing a game usually takes a few days. So the hubs and I decided to switch it up a bit- each person only got 40 seconds to play their word, and if you went over time you have to suck it up and pass on your turn. This turned out to be pretty dang fun, and even got a bit intense.

Doesn't this just look like a BLAST?!

At the very last second, the hubs beat me. I put up a valiant fight, but Dano took the victory.

In other news, St. Patty's Day was a success for us....except for the fact that we didn't really do anything cool ;) The hubs and I put on our green accessories (thank you, mamma Kes!) and hit up subway.

For no apparent reason, the Hubs made me promise to put this photo up (he's getting good at realizing most pictures we take are meant for the blog). So here it is. Weird? Yes. But I promised...

Our REAL St. Patty's celebration came a few days after when we went to my brother and sister-in-law's place for an authentic Irish meal of corned beef and potatoes. Everyone had guessed that I wouldn't like it and...drum roll...I didn't. The texture was pretty creepy. However, I wasn't the only one. Janice isn't too much of a fan, and towards the end of the dinner, Daniel announced he didn't really care for the meat either. Poor Chris. However, we're so grateful for his dedication to make our St. Patrick's Day celebration authentic. I think my favorite part of the night was when they decided to feed Ethan (our nephew) baby food for the first time. Turns out, peaches really aren't this little guy's thing. It was so stinkin funny to see his face when Chris was giving him the food...Ethan REALLY did not like that stuff! Daniel kept saying we should give him some lemon juice- our poor children are going to be subject to many food experiments as babies ;)
