Superbowl Mania!

Football and basketball (especially basketball) are kind of a big deal at our place. However, anyone who knows me knows very well that I'm a bit illiterate in the sports world. Fortunately Daniel is doing a great job of bringing me up to speed on all lacking of sports knowledge. So of course we were excited to watch the Superbowl...me more so for the commercials, food, and watching my man be so interactive with the game. I especially loved seeing him wear his Tom Brady jersey for three days straight before the game- Dan has been rooting for the Patriots this whole season, so it was pretty exciting they made it to the Superbowl. However, this also made their loss a lot more traumatic for our family (I wasn't quick enough to snag a picture of Daniel in his jersey before it was painfully removed after the game).

That being said, we still got to have a really fun weekend up in Ogden; Dan and I are so thankful that his parents live so close and let us mooch food, luxury housing, and most important...on-site laundry services! They had just gotten back from Hawaii and it was so fun to hear about their awesome trip and admire their wonderfully bronze skin (can you feel the jealousy soothing from my words?). Sunday finally rolled around and we went to Dan's home ward before running home to start food preparations and catch the kick-off. Diane had a ton of fun snackish food that we all inhaled before plopping down to watch the game. Seriously though, we had a whole lot of food.

I was pretty disappointed with the Superbowl commercials this time around, I always look forward to those! Granted, we did find Audi's vampire commercial to be pretty funny (congratulations, Audi- we knew we could count on you!). Overall, though, the weekend was a fun one and we weren't ready to go home when the time came.

When we re-entered the wonderful town of Provo, Daniel got to show off his man skills by assembling our million piece dresser. I'm so lucky to have a husband who is good at man things! I helped as much as I could, but that pretty much consisted of me organizing the pieces, preparing the nail things, and dusting. Let me tell you, I am a great nail thing preparer.

                                                         Daniel unloading all the pieces

                                                               So close to being done!

                                                          Just finishing up the drawers

We now have a beautiful, dust-free dresser in our room that we are SO thankful for. We'd had clothes and socks and whatnot strewn across the room for a while, so we are forever in debt to Janice's parents for providing us with a dresser. Success!
